Lương Bích Hữu was born and raised in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, in a Chinese-Vietnamese (Hoa) family as the fourth of five daughters. Her family affectionately gave her the nickname "A Mí," while her fans later came to call her "Chị Bảy". Her musical path began at a young age; at 12 years old, she won a district-level singing contest alongside friends, leading her to participate in music activities at the District 5 Children's House.
After completing high school, she passed the entrance examination for the Vocal Music Department at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music with an initial aspiration of becoming a music instructor.
